ODBC related - need to populate multiple xml files into an access dbase

I'm actually using access for the first time in about 11 years. I had to get help with setting ODBC connection from a particular software to access. My mentor had me run my cmd to do this on cmd line, but i'm not sure why that's necessary. I run on the cmd line siw2odbc32 [filename], i think it's erroring out and what i see in my siw-access.mdb is from last night's population. Can someone look at my files and help?

    Thanks in advance.

in access, did you click the external data button, excel button, then select your xl file?
link it in as a table then you can import data.

No, these are XML files, not excel files

I tried the xml import but so many of the columns come over with table as the value and you have to drill down to the data

I remember that importing XML in Access is a pain in the ass. In those days (I'm talking now more then 10 years ago, so things might have improved since then) we ended up importinging the XML into Excel, and then importing the excel into access.
