keyboar, mouse freeze

i have a new dell inspiron just to run access. from day 1 it will periodically freeze the keyboard, mouse or access. it seems to be unpredictable when this will happen.



has anyone else had this experience??? (are your ears burning microsoft?) ifi go into notepad, can not always do that, the keyboard works. mysterious. doesanyone have msft tech support phone num?

So it only happens when you're doing something in Access? I suppose then, at the top of the Access window it says "not responding" or similar?

i havn't noticed any messaging from access. i will keep an eye open next time it happens. I suspect it is something I am doing....thanks.

I wouldn't call it a message. It's more like a text displayed in the application title bar. You have to look for it.

i have uninstalled & reinstalled access 2019. no help. oday i couldn't access a table and a form. i suspect that is because my class vba code is hanging things up.when i shut it down and restart... all is well......

Is it worth posting the db for analysis? Copy, compact, zip and post if you think so. May not be practical for you.
