    Excel Import File issues

I imported an Excel file into a Table (Table NS) in Access to compare to existing data (Table1). I have 98 records which exist in BOTH the new Table and the existing Table. However, when joined by the common field, the Query returns ALL 98 but only 2 records show data from Table1. The remaining 96 show blank values (these records and corresponding data do exist in Table1).

I checked and rechecked the joined field values and they ARE the same. Both fields are short text.

What can possibly cause this apparent syntax error for the "invisible" 96 records?

sometimes the 'invisible' recs will import...an empty field (to humans) will import.
    is this the case?
make sure the import removes and 'nulls' or empty set: '' or blank values.

I suggest you put your excel and Access data and database into a zip file so we can see what you have in context. You could also provide a plain English description of the issue you are trying to resolve and your intended approach to get some defined output/result. Invisible is difficult to visualize.

Please see attached. The issue I have is the MIU field. In my Query, all of the records are recognized in the join, but only 2 actually pull in "visible" records from the joined table.
