Custom Format for data on a form

Hi All. I have a fe/sql server be with 6 linked tables. I create a FULL ID field and push it to an excel output. Users review the excel output and can jump directly to the Full ID in the database. I am now creating a method to auto update field based on this FULL ID. The FULL ID =
long int.long int.long int.long int.long int.long int like "2.33.82.122.132.420". With this string of IDs for each table join, I can navigate the database directly where I want to go. How can I format the input field to only accept this Custom Format field: Meaning what is the custom code for this... #.#.#.#.#.#??

    Thanks.

If you are using a form for data input, perhaps use an input mask?
