Thumbs up Report wizard forgets attributes

    Hello friends

Happy 2021, since this cry for help is from january the first 2021.

    Explenation
I tell the report wizard to use 7 attributes (idnumber, firstname, lastname, adress, city, state and zipcode). I tell it also to use the lastname to order the report, Then I click 'finish'.

    problem

Then I miss the zipcode on the report and there are no more pages ( 1/1) where I could find the missing information.

    Questions
What happend? Why did it happen and how can I make a report with te 7 attributes?

    Thanks for your support.

    Just add the field manually?
    Or start all over again.

Look at it in design view. Is the field there? Perhaps its covered by another field due to lack of space. If so, move the various controls adjusting size as necessary.
If its missing then follow Gasman's advice

Always keep an eye on automatic wizards

Thank you both for your response.

I guess the following happens: BTW: It wasn't hidden. The information must have "fallen" out of the wizards hands while tackling the problem with space on a A4 sheet because it's first presentation is on a print-out ready form. And then it forgot the attributes which had fallen out of the form. I found out that, during the process, when I choose landscape, instead portrait, that all the attributes are put in place. Hmm, wizards do get old quickly in computerland.

This proofs again when one leaves a job for the automatic that the result is most likely different than we expect. It comes back to decent and old fashioned DIY . Thank you for helping me.

    Really?
I just created a simple tabular report from a table with too many fields to fit in portrait mode, using the report wizard, and it created 3 separate pages for all the fields?

Whatever the reason, I rarely use wizards as it takes me longer to undo the wizard template than to create it myself.
Anyway, we were both pleased to help but you got there by yourself ...

I went back to this problem and was, like you, able to produce a correct report. I needed time to see what went wrong. I have made a typical mistake for a greenhorn: finishing the job before taking a step back to judge the work. Namely, after clicking 'finish' on arraves in the 'printexample' area. The view is just an example. Only after clicking 'OK' (anyway or closing this) I saw the whole picture with sliding rule under the report.

Today I learned double thanks to you. Now I'll return to my wife to give her some feeling that she matters more than my study in database.

    Have a nice day,
