    Help with an unknow file

I've been given an unknown database file (.a2 extension). 800mb size. I've used a file-analyzer to see what kind of file is it and this was the result.
80.0% (.MDB) Microsoft Jet DB, 12.0% (.IMG) GEM bitmap (v1), 8.0% (.PI2) DEGAS med-res bitmap. I've tried opening/importing it with access and mssql, but with no success. any ideas?

With a copy of the file, what happens if you rename it, giving it a file extension of .mdb
If this helped, please click the star at the bottom left of this posting and add to my reputation . Many thanks.

Right click and open with a text editor and see what the first line reports?
