    FontName Binding

I have a table containing the names of installed system fonts. I'm trying to display the name of each font with the text formatted to the font style. I had some luck but don't remember exactly how I did it, before accidentally deleting the form that it worked on ! I remember binding the Font Name property to the underlying data (Something like Font Name = [FName]), but can't reproduce it. I think (though I could be wrong) the issue is to do with the type of form it was displayed on and how that form is rendered. I've tried it on continuous forms and datasheet, directly and single form, continuous and datasheet in a subform but can't get it to work. Any ideas which is the correct combination ? Thanks

My memory on this is fuzzy: I believe your table field has to be formatted as RTF - can't recall if it has to be long text (memo) type as well. If you're trying to show this in a form, the control has to be formatted as RTF as well. You must format the text in the table field for each record as you need it.

You may be able to work with this function from Daniel Pineault.

Probably need a form and a series of text boxes (rich text) to demonstrate the font as micron has advised.

I got it to work with no mention of rich text, just a binding.

    Maf,
Glad you found a solution. Perhaps you'd like to share the technique with others. Some code and example would be helpful for forum participants.

My last post was a little confusing. I 'had' it working with just bindings. But then lost it and don't remember how I did it ! No RTBs tho
