Rumor Coltrol -- Demise of VB?

Client forwarded a couple articles saying Microsoft is going to stop developing VB for .NET purposes, while giving future priority to C## for developers working in that universe. Since my only claim to fame is projects involving VBA with various MSOffice applications, I'm inclined to say no skin off my nose. Any thoughts to the contrary?

You probably know that VB is not VBA, nor is VB.Net. How close VB and VB.net are I don't know.
As long as Office is around, VBA will be and I would put money on that. So I guess the short answer is, I agree with you - you're safe for the long run.

Agree with Micron's comments. However, it might be helpful if you could forward links to the two articles concerned
