    Modify Status Bar

Instead of selecting the option to Display/Not Display the Status Bar for my databases, can I modify the Status Bar so it does not show the Form Design mode and other form options?

I would like the Status Bar to still be visible to show things like Num Lock etc, but not the Form options.

    Any assistance appreciated.

Try unchecking the Allow Full Menus option under Options>Current Database. You might find that this removes something else that you need. To reset that, you'll have to get into Privacy Options because Options will disappear from the back stage view. I know, that doesn't make sense.
If you've customized the ribbon to remove privacy options and also disable full menus, you better be able to stop your custom ribbon from loading.
The proper way to lock down a db is to create a mde or accde with it (among many other things) and only work on your backup mde/accde files.
