    wait, maybe excel did the mess.
    i set wordpad as default program to open csv and now it works.
    all this time lost...sorry

    Hmm! Glad you solved it but I'm slightly confused

    BTW forgot to say that there were two issues I picked up in your code from post #23

    1. Why are those 3 semicolons there? Probable error methinks
    2. There should be a space before FROM

    the semicolons were from the csv file when i open it in excel (don't ask me why), the space before FROM is ok, i just bad copied the code.
    however, i remebered a friend that told me "never open csv with excel", and it was right

    my guess is that linkedin has just changed data exported and it's a bit messy.

    i'll always open a csv from wordpad

    Personally I have no problems with CSV in Excel though Word is notorious for adding unwanted code
    If you want to avoid Excel, I'd suggest using Notepad or Notepad++ rather than WordPad
