    Counting Significant Figures

Does anyone have a method of returning a count of significant figures (into a new column)? E.g. 5.00 = 3, 500=1, 122.2 = 4 etc. I am having trouble finding a solution on the web.

    Thank you much!

500 has 1 significant figure?? I would say it has 3....? You are counting every character except punctuation (the dot)?

    Maybe this?
