Is it possible to generate custom reports

Is there a way to generate a custom decorative report in Access? Basically, I want to "present" the data in a very attractive way.

Basically, I would put in descriptions and decorative images and sprinkle some of the information around. However, I will show some tabular data as well when listing the information that I used for the calculated fields.

Or, is it only possible to generate tabular reports?

Can ''customize" with embedded images and rearrange controls however you want.

As June says you can customize as you wish. And, as a friend of mine used to say -It's just SMOP! The degree of customization has to be tempered with time/cost to customize and the associated benefit to the user/company.

Awesome! thanks... I assumed that and am spending a ton of time getting this DB going the way I want and thought I should ask if I can even do the types of reports that I want. So good to know.

    SMOP??

I assume multiple page reports are okay then too? I'm thinking of like 10 pages or so (as one report -- not 10 different ones).

Depends what you mean by 10 pages - 10 records, 1 for each page, then yes. Or 9 page break controls.

Report (and form) has 22 inches width and length available to design within.

I was referring to a report that is a 10-page PDF that has a bunch of different information compiled from a number of tables. As well as calculated fields (calculated from multiple fields within the tables).

I am not sure what you mean by a '10-page PDF' - you want the report to output 10 pages to a pdf? How are those pages defined? Again, 22-inch square design area.

A report can generate as many pages as needed to output records.

I'm not sure how else I can explain this. I want to have multiple pages:

    #1 - Household information
    #2 - Listing Assets & Liabilities
#3 - Show some graphs based on the assets & liabilities

    etc, etc.

    Each page would be 8.5" x 11"

I want to be able to click a button and then create a PDF.

If that doesn't work, then I can probably export a CSV file or something and create a Microsoft Word document with fields to import the data if that is better and then the person can print a report from there (as PDF).

Then perhaps you need 10 subreports with page break control between each.

Or 10 reports and each exports as individual PDF and more code combines the individual PDF files into a single PDF file.

Or Word merge as you suggest.
