Text box - format only part of the string

i want to underline and bold [Seed Money]. get confused when multiple formatting on one word or phrase

    Text Box:
    ="Please make a check in the amount of " & Format([seed money],"$#,###.00") & " payable to " & [claimantfirst] & " " & [claimantlast] & " for the MSA Seed Money and forward to the claimant's attorney at the appropriate time."

    thanks,

    John

Not on a computer, but if memory serves you want the textbox set to rich text, and you use html formatting.

Thanks for your note. However, the whole text box is bold rather than just one word or phrase.

I see from another post that it is impossible to single out one word to format. https://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=43995

    thanks,

you need to use richtext, but think you will need to create your text in a query - make sure your control is set to richtext. See this link which provides a way to find the codes https://www.access-programmers.co.uk...ne-etc.290820/

think the link you provided was about setting control properties, not formatting text

    perhaps something like this

    "<div>Please make a check in the amount of <u>" & Format([seed money],"$#,###.00") & "</u> payable to <u>" & [claimantfirst] & " " & [claimantlast] & "</u> for the MSA Seed Money and forward to the claimant's attorney at the appropriate time.</div>"
