Of course data can be edited in bound combobox. What exactly is the issue?

    1. a button to 'edit' by opening the underlying query (via form)
    2. opens a form to edit the query data
    3. at close of the form, run the requery on the combo box to see the additions/changes: forms!myform!cboBox.requery

Ah, want to modify combobox list by creating a new item in source table. during data entry. Another approach is to use combobox NotInList event. https://blueclawdatabase.com/notinlist-event-code/
