Table data not showing up in form

Thanks for past help that's enabled me to make good progress on the app I'm working on.
However, I've hit another snag. It affects multiple tables/forms which all have identical
structures and purposes. To keep it simple I'll refer to just one of these forms and its
    accompanying table.

frmSodaTallySouthS needs to be linked to tblSodaTallySouthS. To that end I've installed
tblSodaTallySouthS as the data source in the form's properties. When I call the table the
structure displays just fine, and no errors are thrown. Unfortunately the data display in the

fields. All fields are just zeroes, blanks, etc.

The really puzzling about this is that an earlier stage that data was displaying perfectly.
So what I'm wondering what I may have done to tell Access to suppress displaying
the data in the running form. I had thought identifying tblSodaTallySouthS as data source
would do the job. But apparently not. Ideas?

    Hi

Do you have DataEntry set as Yes ?

It should be set as No for you to see the bound data
You can PM me if you need further help.

Wow! I do have Data Entry set to Yes. When I set it to No the data showed up like magic.
But in some fields of the form I do want to enter data. Will that work? Guess I should
give it a try before asking the question. Will come back to you if it won't accept
user input in the display-only fields.

If the "Data Entry" property is set to "Yes", the form is essentially always on a new record. You enter data, then when the data is saved, you are again on a new record.
There are other options you can set if you only want to allow data entry in specific controls.

DataEntry Yes opens form only to new record, not display existing records. Can only navigate records entered in that session.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
