    modern charts not rendering

I have a form where six graphs are displayed (modern charts). Sometimes they just don't show up at all (well, the frame and title do, just not the actual graph). I can switch to design view and back to form view and then they will show up so I know the data is there. How do I get them to show up consistently for the users? I've tried requerying them, requerying the form, changing something about the graph programatically to force it to re-render... no luck. Proving once again, modern charts are the worst.

It also likes to just randomly change the colors and make the legends disappear. Is this worse than using the old charts? (which, by the way, are so, so old and outdated that the sample data is from 1992. lol.)

As the modern charts do not render at all for users with A2013 or earlier and because they are in several respects more limited than the old charts, I have given up using them and reverted to the old version.
There is nothing in the charts you displayed that couldn't be done in the 'traditional charts'
However there are various traditional chart options that aren't available in the modern charts.

Many developers find both so imited that they use Excel for charting as it is far more powerful

    Hear! Hear!

I would rather rub sand in my eyes than deal with Access charts!

I don't subscribe to that view, probably because I've spent years learning how to use the traditional charts effectively.
I know they are difficult for both newcomers and for many experienced developers as well.
I persevered mainly because I had no real alternative for my needs and those of my clients.

I had high hopes for the modern charts but sadly they have, in my opinion, failed to live up to expectations.
