try compacting before zipping - and have you removed irrelevant data before compacting?

hope you understand what is the problem thank you
You have a large number of buttons with embedded macros.
The error message is I think related to one of them as the timer event isn't looping through the records at all
Due to the language issue, I'm unable to advise what exactly is causing the problem
I suggest you temporarily disable all the buttons so the macros don't run. Does the timer event work in that case?
If it then works, re-enable your buttons one at a time and re-test. This will hopefully allow you to identify & fix your issue.
Alternatively, move your textbox and timer code to a separate form and use it as a subform of your main form.
I've not tested that but I think it should work without error.
I agree with Colin, it is either one or more of the macros or one or more of your control sources which make extensive use of domain functions. However I was able to get it to work by creating a frmRemarks which just displays the remark (you have a field name the same as the table name which adds to the confusion - so change one or the other) include the ontimer code and save.
Then on your main form unbind the form from your Remarks table (i.e. no recordsource) and delete the text box. In it's place, drag your new remark form onto the main form. Ensure the subform linkchild and linkmaster properties are unpopulated. That works for me.
I would send the file back but due to unrecognised fonts etc, I cannot save the form
Edit - see Colin has already suggested using a subform - but I can confirm it works
thank you all. Really appreciate it!
I will probably move forward with the floating form.
thanks again
