Passing a query parameter to a report

Hi all - question for you - I've set up an report that contains a line chart. The CHART'S Row Source is a query that contains parameters. I would like to display that parameter somewhere on the report (on the chart or somewhere else on the report, I don't really care), but I don't know how to get that parameter to display.

I know if the REPORT'S row source was the same query I could just put [Reports]![MyReport]![MyParameter] in a text box to get it to display, but that does not work when the row source is tied to the CHART. (I've tried [Charts]![MyChart]![MyParameter], no dice). This is probably simple but I can't get it to work - anyone know how this is done? TIA...

Most of us would use a form to gather user input. When you do that, you can just refer to the form for the value. You also have more control over what the user enters.

Happy to help! I think you'll be happier in the long run, and the app will be more professional.
