Should Access have User Permissions and Passwords Built in?

I was just thinking that MS access someimes is used by people with multiple users and I think Microsoft should design a way for the access databases we design to have an auto login screen so we can just assign a log in page with password control without having to design it from scratch.

It could also be useful to have access control too.

    Thoughts?

I guess this is why MS markets SQLServer.

Access not intended as an enterprise solution so don't expect that to change.

I find myself in a position of coming from a background where I used to manage a team of ASPX and HTML5 Programmers who would design databases for my customers and employers and now I'm with a different type of company who do not wish to invest in their IT but want a Lada to be a Ferrari, and so I thought MIcrosoft would have thought of the smaller companies when creating this interesting package with some form of security.

I'm from the UK, so and there is a lot of Data Security concern with many aspects of all the work I have done in the past but designing in Access is not ideal to meet many security demands, but a password and user access controls would have been amazing if a company didn't have a server to manage those things.

    Oh well.

Access used to have user level security but it was difficult to manage and, often, not very secure.
There are numerous examples of password login forms involving user access levels available online.
For example, see this one on my website http://www.mendipdatasystems.co.uk/p...gin/4594469149

There are also several articles about Access security on my website that may be of use.

I have/am re-building a number of MS Templates they all include a login but on a few I created a bypass as they were domestic systems
