    Macro Failure Help

    Well hello everyone....

I have a database that started it's life ages ago as the Northwinds. It has been customized, modified etc to make it do what I need. It has worked flawlessly for several years.

    and now it doesn't.

When I create a new customer order, if the item ordered is out of stock, a purchase order is created. Now this crashes Access.

When I enter an item into a purchase order, if the item is not already a listed product, it gives option to edit the Product list. This now gives me the new supplier form.

    Things I have tried:

Back up copy with data from prior to quirks
Back up copy with no data from last year
    Uninstalled Windows update

    Turned off virus/firewalls
Transferred copy of database to different computer running Windows 7
    Redownloaded brand new northwinds database
Checked the macros myself ( my knowledge is limited but even I can tell that it's pointing to the correct forms/queries)

    Dell Inspiron
    Windows 10 build 2004
    Office 365

I appreciate any pointers or things I can try!

well hot damn. that was an amazingly accurate shot in the dark. My automatic updates were turned on, but nothing had updated since May. Forcing the update from June 24 fixed the problem.

if i new where you lived I would kiss you!

Happy to help! My wife would probably disapprove of the kiss anyway.

Welcome to the site by the way!
