    Migrating Access

I am planning to set up a database in Access 2003, hopefully migrating all programming and data from another computer running Access 2000(from the 2000 Office Professional suite). I would really appreciate complete guidance on this. Thanks.

    Hi teckles,

no worries 2000 to 2003 shouldn't give much problems. In fact, some years ago when we had to teach Access, the class managers would put participants who wanted to learn Access 2000 together in one classroom with those who wanted to learn 2003. All trainers could manage this quit well.

If you want complete guidance, consider hiring a consultant.

If you do run into bugs after migrating or the compiler throws an error at you, the intellisense is great for seeing if the trailing piece of code that's in error has been removed due to being obsolete. By I think Noella is on the ball, the compatibility does seem pretty good between 00 and 03. good luck with it.
