Why do I have have to click on my combo box list twice before it updates

I have several combo boxes on forms that are fed from other tables. When I select the item from the list the it doesn't change till I select it a second time. What setting or function controls this or how can I make it update the first time I select it?

I've never experienced this behavior. Need to know more about data structure and form design. If you want to provide db for analysis, follow instructions at bottom of my post.

Try adding an AfterUpdate Event to the Combo Box
