    Tracking Paperwork and Payments

extremely frustrated that I haven't been able to figure this out on my own,

Ok I Have Chapters that report to the State Association.

Every month each chapter has to turn in: an audit form, bank statement and a check to pay its dues
The problem is things are often late, and I need to know how late,

So I am trying to Track, for each chapter, for each month

    Chapter x
    Attended Jan 2020 Mtg (Y/N)
    Jan 2020 Audit (Date Received)
Jan 2020 Bank Statement (Date Received)
Jan 2020 Dues Payment (Date Received)
    Jan 2020 Dues Payment (Amount)
Jan 2020 Dues Payment (Check #)

How do I set up the table or tables to do this????

Thanks in advance for the help

See the materials at this link. By working through 1 or 2 tutorials --from description to tables and relationships - you will learn a process for designing a database to support the business you have described.
    Good luck.

    Hey orange,

    Thank you for the link,
fyi the Links to the tutorials on the page you referenced are outdated and return a 404 error

I found my way to the proper Tutorial Link

    http://www.utteraccess.com/forum/ind...owtopic=290041

(not sure how to make that into a link on this Fourm)

    Thanks again

    Orange,

Thanks for that link, I have read through both tutorials and they are much more about overall database design,
i.e. understanding client needs, getting customer buy in, time needed to build a database.

not really helpful in explaining how to set up tables for this specific issue.

    Still looking for help

There also several links and articles in the Database Planning and Design link in my signature which could be helpful to you.
    Good luck with your project.

The tutorials are in zip files and when opened are in Word.
    Examples:
**Note: The PROCESS is the important thing here. It may be that I have made a mistake in the actual modeling. That will come out in the discussions with the customer and the prototyping. But pay attention to the process that went into the examples. **
