My objects (2 tables, 2 forms, 2 queries, 1 report) have vanished from my navigation pane

I had some exposure to Access 20+ years ago, haven't used it since, and two weeks ago, started building my
first-ever database. I was satisfied with myself - I got two tables working, had created two forms, two queries and
a report. I envision six tables when my project is done, so last night, I went to start building my third table and

Poof! all my objects have completely disappeared from the navigation pane! 1) I rebooted. no help.
    2) I checked my recycle bin. Not there. 3) I tried Show Hidden Objects and still nothing is showing in my Navigation
Pane. The only good news is that I have a saved version of my database from four days ago, so I did not lose
14 days' work, I only lost three days' work. I hope this is an easy fix - I am a rookie and I am mystified
    (and distraught)!

Bob, Thanks, but that didn't work, either. Seems like my object just got vaporized.

It is likely corruption of a system table. A compact/repair might fix it, but I would back this one up first even though it might be corrupted because if it got worse after a c/r you can always start a fresh db and see if these objects are visible in a 'get external data' operation; i.e. importing all of the objects from the corrupted into the new one.
