    Display totals for several sections on a report

    I have a report with the following sections:

    Year Header (On this report there is data for 2020 and 2021)
    Salesperson Header (multiple salespeople)
    Type Header (two possible types: Confirmed Projects, Quoted With Submittal)
    Detail rows
    Type Footer (shows sums for several columns for each type)
    Salesperson Footer (contains a bold line to separate salespeople)
    Year Footer (shows totals for each type for each year)

    Problem: How do I populate the fields in the Year Footer? If I create a field in the detail section with the running sum set to Over All, the Year Footer for 2021 displays the totals for the entire report.

    I've attached a screen shot of the report in design view and a snip showing a section for one salesperson. In the report definition I typed =0 as a place holder. Any help would be appreciated.

    I have table to group depts.
    Acctg, room1
    Acctg,room2
    Maint, room6

    join this grouping table to the main data and now you can group your groups.

    Solved by adding a subreport to the report footer.
