    suppressing extra blank labels

I'm using a Dymo Turbo450 for label printing. (Win10, Access 2016). I get the label to print correctly but I also get 3 extra blank labels at the end for each label I want.

Is there a way to suppress the extra labels?

I don't think it is on the printer driver side since Print Preview also shows the 3 extra labels as blank. All fields are within first label boundaries.

    Thank you very much,

    Phil

So why is report producing these extra labels?

Does report PageSetup designate this printer as its destination?

If you want to provide db for analysis, follow instructions at bottom of my post.

Thank you for the upload instructions.
I think you are onto something.

In Page Setup Paper size is incorrect. As you can see from the photo the official item number from Dymo is 30572. This number is unavailable on the list of labels. Not sure how 30252 was entered. (Default??)

Is the preferred way to change the size in the Columns tab or contact Dymo. The driver I downloaded is a couple months old. (Should be current)

If I change the dimensions will it hold for successive prints? or will it need to be changed each sessions.

    I'll contact Dymo too.

    Thank you very much, Phil

I had the same problem with a Citizen S700 Label Printer with Avery 4013 sized 15/16 x 3 1/2 labels.
The Access labels wizard is total garbage for this label printer. Forget the wizard and set up your label manually. Trial and error until you get it right. The page setup>paper size will be 'user defined'.

    Thank you very much,

I've got it down to label plus 1 extra label after tickling the Page Setup options.

There seems to be a definite bias toward Avery Labels. I've tried to customize the label but it still pops up w the wrong default number under Page Setup > Page. I couldn't find "paper size" you mentioned but already changed "column size" to correct dimensions w effect mentioned.

I tried substituting the comparable Avery size label, but Avery does it in portrait mode and Dymo in Landscape.

Is there a way to create a custom label outside of Access? I tried in Word hoping the new Dymo 30572 and appropriate dimensions would save as a new label available for Access or other MS Products.

It's page setup>page>size. You have 30252 Address there. I changed mine to 'User Defined'.
Create a new label, not using the wizard. Don't choose any predefined label. Set up your own label.
In my case the warning about page width didn't matter.

You can do mail merge with Access and Word but labels built elsewhere are not directly usable by Access.

I never use the design wizards.

Thank you both very much for your quick replies.

I don't see user defined in my list. Confirmed Access 2016 Pro.

Below is the top through bottom of all labels listed in my dialog box. I've tried continuous wide but it defaulted back to 30252.

Under Source: My only option is "Automatically Select"

Do you get User Defined choice if you select Default as printer destination?

Very good thought. I tried that earlier too thinking I needed this to get to User Defined.

Do you get User Defined option for other normal reports and Default printer?

I tried building with label wizard and I do get User Defined.

    Sorry, cannot replicate issue.

Thank you again, I can understand you don't have this printer.

I tried moving the database to another computer. This one with Access 2019 and Win10.

I still cannot get the "user-defined" option you spoke about. Choices seem identical to earlier.

Since this is a generic thing, not sure having the exact printer is necessary. Is there some way to turn on the "user defined" option in Access or the OS?

    TIA

Did you test with other reports and printers? I really don't know why "User Defined" doesn't show so can't advise how to restore.

    Great Idea!
I did try with another "regular" report (not label) and I do get the "User Defined" option.

I'll back out and start again w/o label wizard.

    TY

My test with label wizard still gives me "User Defined" option. So no idea why you don't when setting is for Default, unless the Dymo is set as Default for your computer.
