    Design Form

When I place a field in a Form both the label and the field are linked. I know there is a way to separate them ,but have forgotten how?

A property of the textbox (or "main" control) is Label Name. Delete the associated label's name.

Sorry. I don't want to delete it. I just want to move it above.

There is a link to the label defined in the textboxes's properties, that's what Paul is referring to. But I suspect you don't need to delete the link, if you click and drag the square in the top left corner of the label (or text box) you can move it independently.

The reason for the link is that if a user clicks a linked label the focus automatically jumps to the associated text box/control.

Sorry, I misunderstood what you were trying to do.

No problem. My memory said that several years ago we had to do a keystroke to separate the two. but maybe not. Thanks loads.
