    Ansi 89

This question evolved from one of my earlier postings and remains unsolved. I am posting this single question in order to give it focus.

The question is: How can I change from ANSI 92 to ANSI 89. I am using the Office 365 version of Access.

I have tried going into SQL server compatible syntax (ANSI 92) and unchecking the two boxes, and then pressing "OK".

This does not change the default ANSI setting.

This is the case whether I am using a DB in the mdb format or in the accdb format.

Did you configure Windows to use it too?

I recently upgraded to Office 365. Until then I was using Access 2003. The operative ANSI in Access 2003 was ANSI 89. I have not I have not made any change to Windows 10.

Problem solved. Solution: A better understanding. When the two checkboxes are unticked, there is a change to ANSI 89, but this is not reflected within the heading "SQL SERVER SYNTAX (ANSI 92). It still reads "ANSI 92", but the change to ANSI 89 is in effect. This is what I am experiencing.
