    Null Value SOS

Forever and a day I create error messages and don't know how I do it.
When I need to save a tbl I get "Index or primary key cannot contain Null Value"

Hit OK My computer howles at me.

Then error message "Errors were encountered during the save operation. Indexes were not changed. Properties were not updated"

What the blankety blank am I doing wrong?

exactly what your error message says - you have specified in your table that one (or more) fields are indexed and nulls are not allowed (which might be the primary key, might be a foreign key with relational integrity set). you say you are saving a table - so if you have decided to index an existing field, that field may already have nulls in it

You're talking to a 73 yr old. Explain for dummies. Null is a verb.

    Explain for dummies
not until you explain what you changed in the table. So far all you have said is the equivalent of 'I got in my car and it won't start'

I'm sure Alex has a good point. If I knew what I do to cause this error, I would stop doing it, and would not have needed to write this post. Thanks for the link.
