Id is not an index in this table

Hi Guy's first and foremost, hope everyone is keeping safe in these unprecedented times ?

We have returned to the UK and found we can't access a db front end and db back end

It comes up with ID is not an index in this table, if you keep on clicking ok for several times the messages keeps coming up ParentID is not an index in this table

Is there a fix for this ?

    Also what causes this ?

Is it someone has opened the db and reset the server whilst open? i know i had a question emailed to reset the server from staff whilst away, it all worked when we left the office for 2 weeks!

usually implies the db has become corrupted. which db are you getting the error - front end or back end? or both?

if the front end is being shared, this can often cause corruption.

    As to a solution,

have you tried holding down the shift key when opening - and if you can get in tried compact repair?
other thoughts are to open the db with the decompile switch?
or create a new db and attempt to import the objects

otherwise think you'll need to revert to a backup

As Ajax stated, this usually indicates corruption.
As well as the suggestions provided by Ajax, you can try rebuilding the index(es) in the affected tables
Online commercial 'solutions' exist but most do nothing more than the steps already suggested.

However one particular example of this issue involves the system table MSysAccessObjects. A free and relible solution can be found at http://www.datagnostics.com/dtips/fixaoindex.html
