    Thanks Arvil.. Yes I understand very much what is going wrong. Now kindly anyone can give a simple solution, without making much changes as the database is in use with so much datas. Is it possible to use Dlookup or tempvar or... functions to solve this problem. Please suggest and the syntax.

    Did you check out the one from my 1st answer (the AfterUpdate event). I myself haven't never used Column property of combobox, but it must work for you, as you added cost column into row source query (in case it doesn't work try with ColumnCount set to 2).
