unable to connect front end form to back end of the database when i have a password on the back end

when I click a button to open a form in the front end of my database it connects and works fine if I do not have a password on the back end tables. When I put a password on the back end and click the button I receive an invalid password message even though it does not ask me to input the password. when I click OK it shows the stop all macros message box. if I click the Help option I get a message saying cannot connect to the internet. this may not allowed by administrator.

Is this problem likely to be down to administrator settings? Has anyone come across this problem before or have any ideas as to what may solve the issue? Any comments gratefully received with thanks.

You need to delete the original linked tables and then create new linked tables

More about connection strings can be found here (if your BE is an accdb, click on ACCESS)
