Nevermind I figured it out since InspectorName is QEIID now.. I can use [QEIinitials] from the relationship of the two tables.

Last Question... generally in tables, should I leave QEIID as the numerical key or can I view them as "Names"?

I guess it doesn't matter as long as the Bound Column is the real QEIID?

QEIID should be PK and FK fields for linking tables in queries.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

Inspector Name combo box control would be bound to tblInspectionReports.QEIID_PK and the Inspector Name would be displayed.
In table "tblInspectionReports", I split the name into first name and last name fields.

    Also, the relationship is wrong
