    I had never used the

External Data, New Data Source, From File, Text File and save the import steps before. Is that what you are referencing in the VBA with the param "CSV_Import_Specification"?

Also, now that I was able to get past the "-" being in the zip code fields, I discovered that some rows have a page break which just ruins the data import. Today I feel like I overcame one error just to uncover a new one.

Here is a sample spreadsheet that illustrates what I mean.

you need to upload to this thread, responders are understandably reluctant to open unknown links

and since this is a csv file, you need to open it as a csv file (i.e. with notepad). Excel will automatically open a csv file like a spreadsheet, but in the process it can modify the view

I'll try again, but restrictions on this computer that I am on is preventing me from uploading directly to this thread. If I open it with Notepad++ everything past the carriage return is shown on a separate line, which makes sense as to that's exactly how access was interpreting it as well. I need the "space" or "carriage return" removed so that all data that belongs to that row stays together.

in that case post a screenshot of some example rows where this is happening - the csv file should display text delimiters for example

Just saw your post, downloaded your file and opened it with Notepad++

For whatever reason, your file has LF in the middle of some records.
With a Windows file the record would normally end with a CRLF.
My first reaction is that something in the file create process isn't working as it should.

But I do see the LF

Where do the teetac and blue originate in your latest csv where the LF occur?

NOTE: This was not true in the first Book1 csv
