Creating calculated fields in a query...

I'm stuck on the yellow highlighted portion within the attached jpg. The part where it goes into adding a Markup and Final Price field is where I get lost. Not sure how to go about doing that. Do I use the Zoom in feature on an empty field?

I also attached a modified version of the Access file that I'm working on (I had to remove unrelated content within the file to decrease the file size).

in the query design window you have columns that you can drag fields onto. You can also create formulae in empty columns

The Markup and Final Price fields aren't present in the window because previous instructions did not say to create those. And the instructions in the yellow region doesn't say to go back and add the fields to the table that the query is associated with.

Never mind. I figured it out.

For example: I just typed in "Markup: [Retail Price]*0.1" into an empty field in the query, and when the query is run, a 'Markup' field is created with the appropriate data.

    This looks like homework.

Just curious -was anything said about never using spaces in object names??? ("item name", "retail price", "supplier ID")
