    THS Volunteer Hrs MOD_2_ss Current.zip

    Steve:

Sorry about that. I was just so happy to have done what I did I forgot to add it. Here it is.

I would like to add the button that page and be able to print out this report by a date range.
I have looked at what you did and haven't figured that out yet.

OK.... Report looks good. I made a few changes - set the text to black (from gray), added a line in the footer.

I opened the form "frmSelectReportDates" in design view.
    I added a button
I opened the control properties dialog box.
I renamed the button (on the Other tab-->Name property)
    Click on EVENT tab
Click the ellipsis for the Click event (I have "Always use 'Event Procedure'" set) (FILE/Options/Object designers/Form/Report design view -> Always use Event Procedures)
I copied the code for "Sub cmdViewtotalHrsReport_Click()" and changed the report name in the "Docmd" line.
    Save, save, compact and repair.

At the moment I can't think of any other reports that I might need. Can you?

I can get total hrs volunteered by date. Total hrs volunteered by individual. Total hrs volunteered in area.

Let me know if you come up with any.

In the attachment you will fid an example of how manage attendances.
The attendances summary and reports are dinamically filtered based on the data entered in the various controls located a the top of the form.
To find out the operation that a button carries out, position yorself on it and wait for the description to appear.
    There are only two reports:

one print the summary of the data as it is displayed
the other the various goupings of data

I'm sorry for my incorrect English.

Figured out one more report that I want. I'm sure I have all the stuff for it, just don't know how to do it.
I want a report that I can pull a name from the trustee list and it will pull their volunteer hours for a particular date period. Only pull that persons hours in the various areas.

I know the Trustee list is there. I know the query is there. Just don't know how to do the "Select Trustee" and "Date range"
Also, don't know how to put that on the main screen with the other reports.
Still using the last database you sent me. I did make a few tweaks to the reports.
    I have attached it.

Any other reports you can think of, feel free to add.

I see nothing about a "Trustee list", only Volunteers. I'm stumped......???

And what do you want the report to look like? What fields?

I am happy to help, but remember, I know nothing about your project or how you want the layout to look like. You MUST be explicit about what you want.

Sorry about the "Volunteer" and "Trustee" mix up. The Volunteer list is the Trustee list. I just didnt make that clear.

I would like to have the reports look just like the ones that are currently there but just have the option to pull via a date range and volunteer name.
So, I could pull my hours in the different areas for the month of January and only mine are on the report with the totals for the different areas and the big total at the bottom.

Like to ad this option to the report menu that you created too.

Does this make more sense now?

OK, take a look at this.
Remember, I left the design pretty much as you had it. There are many, many ways to change the "Look and Feel" of the dB if you don't like this one.

That is what I was looking for. I just didn't know how to add the "Select Volunteer" option.

    Thanks
