export query to word sees a mess result

    Hi,
    Access 2010.
followed a www method then also youtube (same), to export a query to word (.rtf)
query was on my book database, showing book number, title, subtitle, author, publisher, location and was for 7 books. criteria being *Bloggs* for the author name., returning 7 records.
I ended up with first page with a grey filled cell 'Book Number' and to right of that (abutting it) the title cell, which ran off page, both these were just one blank row with row above BookNumber and Title.
page 2 featured these two titled columns again, this time the title row was grey, then 7 rows in white, with book titles, however it runs off page.
if there had been more pages it would have shown the rest of the 'cells' with their titles.

    What has gone wrong ?

googled youtube and entered export access query to word but no one has done such, surprised such a need has not been covered !

    Cheers

Not something I've ever had to do in over 20 years but best guess, your query output is wider than word can handle. Perhaps try a smaller font.

In word you can drag the right edge of a column to make it narrower or change the page size/orientation to say A3 landscape.
