[Ctrl]+['] inserts the value from the same field in the previous record. Not working.

Does this short cut work? [Ctrl]+['] inserts the value from the same field in the previous record.

I am in Access 2007-2016 format and this short cut does not seem to work on a form I am in. Is there something I am missing?

I assume by 'not working' you mean it does not insert the previous record value. it should work in all versions of the form except the first record. Some caveats - 1 the form is updateable and 2 if the field you are trying to update is already populated, the entire contents of that field must be highlighted
