    Subreport problem

I'm creating a report that consists of several subreports. Each subreport displays records from the same table, but the number of records varies. Everything works fine except that there is some unexpected white space between two of the subreports as shown on the attachment. The reports are all identical except for the criteria in the query for each. Al subreports can grow and can shrink. I created the report on the top left and then used Save Object As to create the others, only changing the query to display different sets of records. Any idea why the extra white space?

No idea without review report design. If you want to provide db for analysis, follow instructions at bottom of my post.

I believe this might be it. The top box on left has more data so is longer then the box on right top so it just has space there. It will only grow to the size of the data in its own subreport box.

Good point. That will be an issue with reports sitting side by side.

The solution: For each subreport set Can Grow and Can Shrink to No. Then manually size each subreport so it displays the appropriate number of records. Note that this only works in cases where the number of records in each subreport remains static. If the number of records changes, the subreport will need to be re-sized.
