I only hope that MS doesn't break Office 2010 with one of their Windows 10 updates. I'm sure that it would be possible to code into the OS, but I can also imagine the mess they would be in, legally if they tried something like that.
I'm already considering turning off feature updates in Windows 10.

Of course, with the end of all support for Office 2010 later this year, there could be security issues. But being a personal (home) user, with good internet security, I probably don't need to worry about that.

MS did major damage to all supported versions from 2010 onwards with the corrupt query bug in Nov.
Unsupported versions such as 2007 continued to work perfectly as they weren't updated.

Access 365 had another major bug this month though fixed relatively quickly this time.

So, in reality, sticking with 2010 will be somewhat of a benefit after October when MS ends all support for it.
Perhaps I should turn off 'feature' updates for Windows 10.
I have already turned off the option to receive updates for other Microsoft products with Windows 10 updates.
