    I thought that was the case but wasn't sure. I think it would be a useful feature to have. If you edit a post to give a fuller answer to somebody's question they are unlikely to see it if they have already looked at your original post.

    It may not be desired, we often edit posts to correct typos. Also, the time to edit a post is very limited, I suggest you add a new reply if you want to add additional info.
