How can i make a subform not show the last bit of data when opening form?

From my customer form the is a button that opens the Deals Form. When the deals for is opened from customers it creates a new record and brings over customer number etc.. But i cant figure out how to get the subform which records the items Im bidding on in deals to not show the info from the last entry. I want it t also be in add data mode and just like the parent form. How do i do that?

Maybe set form DataEntry property to Yes?

Sorry, I didnt realize it was that simple. Im doing this on the fly without the aid of a manual of any type. last question, is there a way to program a function key to initiate a new record. Like F8 or something. I know i can make a button, but when doing a long list of items in a quote hitting F8 would be a lot easier than grabbing the mouse and clicking a button. Thanks

You can create an autokeys macro which will allow you to assign specific keys to certain actions.
However bear in mind that many keyboard combinations already have associated actions and you may not want to lose existing functionality.
