Question Difficulty with opening an .mdb file on another PC.

I am posting this question for my father who has an issue with opening an .mdb file on his home PC.

The problem goes: The .mdb file was generated on another PC that is a part and also a database server on a network. However, that PC can not run MS Access anymore for unknown reasons. The file has to be accessed because there is some data that needs to be dug up for analysis next week. My father has been trying to open that file on his PC because the other one can't run access, but to no avail.

Does anybody know of a solution that might solve this issue?

    Screencap in the attachment.

    Thanks in advance.

I suspect the database is a split one (front-end and back-end) and your father only copied the front-end. Tell him to go on the original machine in the I:\ drive (complete path in error message), copy the back-end file and paste it along with the front-end in his home computer. Then he should try to open the front-end while holding down the Shift key to bypass the opening macros/code and then go to Database Tools and relink the back-end tables to the local back-end.
