New Database Software when Access is Decommissioned

I have a database in Access with a few thousand entries and as Access is being decommissioned I am looking for a new database software to transfer to and to use in the future. Does anyone have recommendations for an easy switch over?

Why do you say Access is being decommissioned? MS is not dropping it in the foreseeable future. Do you mean dropped by your company?
