Good Afternoon Forum,
I have two (2) MSAccess 2008 databases (.mdb) which I need to place in READ-ONLY mode.
Going live with newer MSAccess 2010 database frontend linked to SQL server back-end database tables.
How do I lock the old MSAccess DB's so users can only view and perform searches on data, but not allow any data changes?
I saw an article which recommended setting properties on MDB file to "READONLY" within Windows Explorer, but that setting
can be easily modified by someone who has knowledge on how to change it back.
Does anyone know of more efficient way to implement READONLY DB quickly?
BTW...old MSAccess front end has over 50+ forms, so trying to avoid having to add VBA code to each form.
Thanks,
