calculated fields show ?name unless i switch to deisgn view then back

    Hi all,

I've recently made a couple of change to some calculated text boxes on a report.

The report runs and utilises fields in a query as well as some fields from the form the report is run from.

The report now gives a ?name error on some fields, howeverwhen I open the report to design view and then open the data source query fromthe properties menu, I can then close without saving and the report runs fine..

Any ideas what may be causing this?

    TIA

this appears to have solved my issue:

Perhaps this was done in your previous project but not in this one?

    To "Trust" your folder, click:

    • Office Button (top left)
    • Access Options (bottom of dialog)
    • Trust Center (left)
    • Trust Center Settings (button)
    • Trusted Locations (left)
    • Add new location (button)

The code works, when going from Design View to Form View, because the Access security is only invoked when opening the Form directly, i.e. clicking on the Form in the Navigation Pane. removed
