Form "suddenly" will not let me update info

Trying to place my database into SharePoint. After following the directions to do so I opened one of my forms via Access on my Desk Top and for some reason I am now getting the "This Recordset is not updateable" message. Only on the one form. The other form is fine. I looked at properties and made sure everything that I felt should relate to adding/editing was set to "yes" but have now run out of options as to what I think I can do to fix this.

I should point out that when I ran the procedures through Access to move the tables to SharePoint it did so, obviously. My ultimate goal is to have the entire DB, with forms and queries, on SharePoint as well, assuming that can be done.

    Thanks, as always, in advance.

Make sure the underlying table(s) have primary keys. I have no experience with SharePoint, but if it's anything like SQL Server, the tables must have a primary key. An Access table without a primary key can be edited, then when you push it to SQL Server it becomes read-only.

Thanks Paul. Something clearly happened when I shot the tables to SharePoint. All of the tables do have primary keys but I checked the relationships and I found two things. First, the tables that were linked one to one were no longer shown as linked. Second, when the tables were uploaded to SharePoint, Access or SharePoint assigned new primary keys (ID) in each which where not in the original tables. When I try to change the primary keys back in any of the three tables, I get the message that I have to do that in the "source database." I am assuming this refers to the DB that I uploaded to SharePoint (original DB) but that doesn't seem to exist any more. May need to start from scratch! Thanks.

With SQL Server you'd do that in Management Studio; does Sharepoint have an equivalent? Hopefully someone with Sharepoint experience will chime in, though my sense is not that many people use it.

Sorry I couldn't help. Do you want me to move this thread to the SharePoint category?

Sorry for the delayed response, Paul. That would be great although it appears SharePoint will no longer accept Access files. Would be nice to know if sending the tables there is what messed up my 1 form. Thanks again.
