    Prevent user from accessing design

I am using Access 2007. I want to save the file giving the user no access to the design. I tried to save program as accde, but get message that it is too big-not sure why, it is not a huge file. I have done it with earlier versions, no problem.

This is embarrassing, but I had some early versions that prevented users from accessing the design of an mdb file. I don't remember how I did it or maybe it has something to do with 2007 vs Access 2000? Any help much appreciated.

implies there is an error in your code. To save as a .accde, the code must compile - ideally with 'Option Explicit' at the top of each module (below Option Compare Database) to reduce the risk of runtime errors once compiled. To compile, in the vba editor, select debug>compile

This may be a repeat-I clicked solved and my reply dissolved. The lousy code was part of a form that I don't use anymore and whose code I didn't erase properly.

Just wanted to say thank you very much, problem was driving me nuts. Wonder why Access didn't give me a clear message like you did? Thanks again.
