Looking for an Access 365 compare tool

    Hi-

I have googled and have not found a tool that can compare 2 access database file. It looks like 365 PRO has a compare tool built in but I am using plain 365. There are some vendor links around, but I do not see any tool for plain 365. Does 365 PRO really have a compare tool?

    It would be nice to:
    1) See changes to VBA code between the files.
    2) If possible see DB schema changes.

    Thank you
    Ken

I recall a tool from Bob Larson that did something similar to your need.

See the (2002-2003) DATABASE MERGE ANALYSIS TOOL
It defaults to .mdb, but it does allow selection of .accdb in the file selector.

I have not used it other than ensuring it will read accdb files. It may be a start. Good luck.

Many years ago I used an open source utility called Winmerge for this purpose. It worked very well.
The latest version is available at https://winmerge.org/

    Thanks for the responses.
I an looking for something that can show you the differences in form and module subs and functions. Also it needs to show schema differences.
Unfortunately DBmerge looks like it may not handle access 365. Winmerge would be great for text files but access would have to be converted to text somehow. I did get ms database compare installed but it does not consistently produce results of any detail. You may get a list of forms that changed but most of the time it does not show any more than that. Still looking.
