Question Connecting split databases in separate directories

Problem : 1 Admin.mdb with tables tblPers, tblBook and other tables split into 2 connected databases Admin.mdb (containing tblPers and all other tables except tblBook) and Data.mdb (containing tblBook).
Queries in Admin.mdb automaticly use tables from Data.mdb. So far so good.
To try out some changes in Admin.mdb I created a new Directory Direc2 and copied both databases from Direc1 to Direc2. Now in Direc2 a query in Admin.mdb that uses tblPers and tblBook updates tblBoek IN DIREC1 and NOT IN DIREC2 !!

So there is still a relation between Direc2\Admin.mdb and Direc1\Data.mdb
    How can I let Direc2\Admin.mdb only use Direc2\Data.mdb ?

Have you tried the Linked Table manager?
One helpful tool to have is the J Street Relinker...https://www.jstreettech.com/downloads.aspx

I have a Dutch version of Access, but I'll try to find some translation for "Linked Table manager". So far I can only find something to connect tables within the same database !

I believe I found the solution in : "Externe gegevens" --> "Koppelingsbeheer" at the bottom you can check "Altijd om nieuwe locatie vragen"

    thanks for your tip !!

Anyhow : it works fine now ! I just put the Dutch words here in case any Dutch people might be searching for the same solution.
